"Energizing others toward professional and personal success" is the mission of Shirley A. White, president of Success Images, a training and career consulting firm based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dr. White is an internationally recognized speaker, workshop leader, consultant and author. She is also a columnist, writing the "Dr. Shirley Says..." column on self-improvement issues for Business and Industry Connection, U.S. Recently, she released her first CD, "Dr. Shirley’s Motivational Moments," inspirational messages for daily encouragement. In addition, Dr. White is a contributor to the book, Career Wisdom: Success Advice from Outstanding Women Leaders with foreword written by Dr. Camille Cosby.
Described by an associate as a "walking Hallmark card," the effervescent Dr. White has presented hundreds of workshops to thousands of participants (both youth and adults), and is known for her ability to inspire her audiences. Shirley holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Human Resource Management from Loyola University/Chicago and a Doctor of Education degree from Arizona State University.
Dr. White has worked in academia, serving as a faculty member in the Management Department, College of Business Administration at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge from 1979-90. She also has seven years experience teaching in the community college setting in Chicago and Phoenix. In addition, Dr. White served as an instructor in the area of police/community interpersonal relations for the Anti-Terrorist Assistance Program, U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security and has presented programs (working with interpreters) to top ranking criminal justice officials from several foreign countries.
Drawing on her diverse background, Shirley brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her sessions. Participants consistently evaluate her programs as being informative, entertaining and memorable.
